Hi folks

I am a startup tradder from Gloucester and have no customers yet. I will be working in a quite densely populated, mostly urban, but partly also rural area around Gloucester, and possibly even Cheltenham and Stroud. I will be mostly canvassing, targeting mainly a residential market and working circa 40 hours per week. I have no clue about the mileage I may reach with my van in the first year of business. Has anyone got some idea about what is likely or realistic?

i clocked up 20 k my first year ,doubling back was the reason for it. once i got my round properly organized which took 5 yrs im now down to 15k a year [ this is covering 4 towns]

My round is quite compact and I still cover over 13K a year, it costs me £100 every 4-5 weeks to fill my primastar up.

thats very good , 100 quid a month , i spend 60 a week

and cheapie thinks three miles to work is long enough so think I had better opt out of this discussion..

actually may go a full six miles on monday:rofl:

I'm rural and do about 1000 a month. Thinking about getting some work in Cheltenham also. There's money there.....

Who knows, sooner or later we might meet each other over there.
