How would u lot do it? I was thinking let them buy their own van and equipment etc i give them a round to work on and i keep 20% off what they own OR i rwuip them with everything and we go 50/50 but i think number 1 is better i think /emoticons/smile.png thats the proper way to do it

To do it right they will be using your business name and if they mess it up and do poor jobs that's the business name getting bad rep. Wouldn't bother doing it. Might as well get another van and get them to work for u.

One of my customers that I got last year had a franchised cleaning company. Shouldn't say which one but after 12 months he went bust. After looking at Companies House, 75% of the other companies in this franchise have done the same.

H if you want to set up a franchise you need to have SERIOUS money behind you. I'm not talking about a couple of grand here either. You also need to have an instantly recognisable brand, otherwise people just won't go for it.

You also need to have something to offer potential franchisees. Why should they buy a franchise with you instead of doing it themselves?

I personally couldn't see me doing this to be honest (when my business is actually worth something that is) Wouldn't want to put all my blood, sweat and tears into building my business for years only for someone to potentially mess it up!

At the moment H, I'd say concentrate on building your customer base like you've mentioned, increase your income, go with the flow, and enjoy it!!!

I am building it up but a lad down my area has 8 vans on the road and he doesnt izactly franchise it he just gets people in his vans to work for him

This is called "staff" H and it's beginning to catch on lol

H seriously why would any one with the drive to make a business work want to pay for it? I've spent about £500 on insurance, uniform, flyers, stationry, uniform and equipment. Done all my own advertising, door knocking and made over 3k in 12 weeks ok I've eaten slept and done nothing else but window clean but it's cost £500, I just can't see why anyone would buy into a franchise? Or am I missing something GF?

Lol hmmm ill just get another van and get sum1 to work for me

But u cant get gold of gud staff these days

Not easily done mate. It's something to set your sights on though and definitely something that could happen in a year or two. You'd also need to have enough work for this second person.
