It's strange this, I had a lad working for me, and although he was OK up ladders, he didn't understand the principle involved. For me, it has always been second nature, you feel whether you are safe or not. You just need somewhere to get a bit of practice. Where are you?I got a trolley and few barrels, but always need to get up a window sometimes (mostly I do trad). Just knowing where to position the ladder etc on windows and gutters etc. A friend said underneath the window and then stretch up to clean them all. Just think if I went around with someone helped them clean for free but got a feel for using ladders on different places by watching would be a lot more confident. Balconies etc. Also, someone could look at my trad technique, I am fine just could get quicker.

I guess on gravel, sloping away. Just don't have that confidence to know what surface is good and what isn't etcIt's strange this, I had a lad working for me, and although he was OK up ladders, he didn't understand the principle involved.
