Unfortunately that's the only picture I've got of the one I do. I do the one on the left, the fire was caused by a cannabis factory, about a year ago that.

The panes are really big so the brush doesn't cover a lot of area, also have to go through the house to do the back. I do these at £20 each but they'll be going up to £25 next month, ideally they need to be £30 really. Takes me roughly 1 hour to do both. They don't look difficult to do but on the top floor the brush has a tendency to hop off the glass. Also more difficult when there are cars on the driveway.

Won't be taking on any more though, just easier work out there.

A bit surprised by this reply as I was under the impression you only cleaned posh houses as you pulled me up a while back as you thought I took on anyone and everyone, I wouldn't be cleaning in streets and areas where things like that fire happen,

What pole and brush are you using?, in all honesty, those panes of glass don't look that big and could easily be smashed out with a 26cm brush I clean some 1970s houses with large panes like those

Get a 35cm, or 45cm, brush with 4 x 1.4mm pencil jets. Eat those in less than half the time.
Yeah that's what I very nearly ordered on Tuesday, backed out in the end as I wanted to keep the order within budget and couldn't make up my mind which jets to get. I was going to try the 35cm on them with 4 2mm jets but then started thinking about the fan jets as haven't tried them yet.

Think you might be mixing me up with someone else as I'd never say only to do posh houses. I follow where the money takes me, a lot of the time it's the cheaper houses where I get the most money. I find the large mansion types difficult to get as there are so many window cleaners targeting them and doing the work at a lot lower than my price. The cheaper houses the other window cleaners seem to overlook.

I quoted a massive house of an old friends last month, £100 every quarter and it would have take around 1.5 hours, customer turned it down. Where as I can get 3 semi's for £30 each every 4 weeks and it would take me the nearly the same amount of time (35 minutes each one). So for me it's just where I can get the money, I'm happy to leave the big houses to those who want the bragging rights.

Btw they're not that cheap those town houses, around about £280k and those cannabis factories are in the more posh houses as well.

For me it's just the money, so long as I get the money then I don't care what I'm cleaning, although I must admit doing 6 or 7 decent size semi's / small detached is my preference as it just feels easier than say doing 15 small houses where you're stop starting all the time. The money might be pretty much the same but it just feels like a less smooth working day and more obstacles, customer contact etc.

I'm using an SLX with 26cm Ultimate flocked and two 3mm jets. It's the amount of up and down strokes that takes the effort, they're bigger than they look and just to cover the whole glass with the brush is an effort, let alone scrubbing it. To be fair it's probably 45 minutes that it takes me but it's still a very hard 45 minutes, like PT said I have thought that a 35cm brush will make it a lot easier. It's the top windows that are the hard part, the first floor takes probably 30 to 50 percent faster as I can move the brush faster.

Just tried 100 degree fans on a gutter and facia clean. I have been meaning to try them for a while. The spray pattern covers the entire width of the brush which is nice, while they cover the glass well I didn't think they pushed the dirt off quite as well as the 2mm pencils but you have to direct the pencils at the dirt spot sometimes. I tried them on a Sill Brush 24cm - Medium-Mixed ( now discontinued) I didn't change my flow from 50. I will have another play and tweak flow, as I quite like the full width rinse.

It was definitely yourself, maybe I misunderstood what how came across. (y)

280k, pleased I live in the North East of England you can get more for your money and get a very nice house in nice street for less than half that.

One of those houses would be over 300k here
Mine is 2nd from end of terrace 3 bed and valued at around 375k at the minute

Yeah everythings gone silly around here, although for £500k you can get a nice house, but I'm guessing for £500k where you are you could probably get a small mansion ha. No end of it stopping though, just going up and up. Terraced house next door to me sold last year for £280k and it's probably already worth £330k within a year and they haven't done much at all to it, certainly nothing to add £50k on to it.

For that, I could a decent detached house with a big enough garden for a smallholding, once over that money could have bought a nice detached house with land and outbuildings, the town we live in ain't the poshest but even now some houses are up for over 300k 5 minutes walk from us that are in need of total gutting

This is where I grew up

I cannot grasp how anyone could think they're worth that much, everyone must be on £1m+ per year around there to justify those sort of prices... but even then I think I'd rather take my money and retire to a big house somewhere nice. Absolutely nuts.

I'm guessing it wasn't as posh then like the Tower of Terror, walk in the opposite direction of some of the posher houses from me or even along my street you can buy a terraced house for around 80k
This is the block I grew up in and it is on the same road as those other houses lol
These are 2 or 3 bed flats halfway up a 31 storey block

Pure madness, I've worked on building sites in the middle of massive council estates where they were renovating and selling on the flats for a marked up price they had all sold, but on one site while the work was going on stuff was getting knicked every week and the compound got turned over twice that was over @Part Timer 's way that was about 30 years ago now

That would've been the Pennywell Estate, biggest Council Estate in the UK once upon a time. It's still a :poop:hole
