I've been using a 30m reel of Gardiners hose for the last few years and nearly ran out now after all the splitting that generally occurs in winter.

What is the best internal hose to get. I like to coil mine up to keep it out of the way in the back of the van, I see gardiners have an all weather version but I'd really like to get a 30 metre roll and not have to buy it in small lengths.

Any ideas?

I've never had a ploe hose split on me no matter what type I've used using cold. However I had one go using hot and that one was the clear soft type.

Are you using the pump at full pelt without a controller then?

When you say internal hose do you mean pole hose?

Yeah the internal hose, mine splits regularly at the base of the pole.

When fully collapsed and putting it in my van I coil the hose up and hang the coil from the brush head. The base of the pole is in the floor and the top of the pole is resting on a hook towards the door. This way the internal hose gets bent almost 180 degrees. Which sometimes causes a split.

I can't be the only one with this problem

I've never had this problem mate I've got an aqua dapter on my pole and use the Orange hose from aqua dapter never had a problem for 4 years mate maybe try that one

My pole hose I prefer to have on the outside of my poles which might make a difference I suppose

I have had Gardiners pole hose split at the base too. I use Streamline Lite-5 now. Very flexible and easy to coil.
