Hi folks had a guy come up to me today asking if I would be able to clean his touring caravan. That bit is fine but he also wanted his awning cleaned. Wasn't sure if any one on the forum had any experience of cleaning awnings. It's a canvas like material. Seems pretty durable. Any advice would be welcome.
Was thinking about charging between 70 and 90 for the caravan itself. Don't have a clue about how much I would charge for the awning or how well it would come up after the clean.
Cheers peeps!20230913_085319.jpg

Hi
I have cleaned maques before.
I would expect this to be similar.
The results were good on the green algae.
I have cleaned multiple caravans, motor homes and sandwich vans.
All came up good results.
Give it a blast can't see why not.
Good luck.

We do a sail on a hotel that’s made of canvas and use a hypo mix on it not to strong though 6-1 it comes up well , look at the light bit on the picture that was the test bit we did first , and another window cleaner I know does the canvas and plastic roll out sunshade blinds on shops the same way always look good , make sure you give it a thorough rinse , it might need doing with a water proofer after .

I only clean windows and solar! Thats my focus.., we could be asked to clean anything , imo its time-consuming, and prob with questionable results, because its not within our scope of expertise anyway.

Iv cleaned caravans they are a surprising amount of work to get clean when they have been left for a long time.. particularly the roof. Only worth it if you are booking an hour rate
