Has anyone tryed emailing hotels advertising yourself as commercial cleaner etc or would you think it would just be classed as spamming and it would just get ignored?

It'll get ignored. It's also illegal to send unsolicited email unless you give the recipient the opportunity of opting out of your emails. Very complicated area of law this one!
