I take your point tolish....but there so many aspects to being part of europe. What I am saying is that we should be in possession of all the facts......not many of us can pull off a long list of benefits and negatives from being in europe. We tend to get mainly negative stories in the media which helps to wind people up. I have a gut feeling that we are better remaining in europe and dont desire a vote at all. Its not a time to isolate ourselves and I fear what would happen to jobs and the economy.....although it goes way beyond that. Whether we are in europe or not, politicians will always be corrupt.....that is something that should definitely be addressed.@mrtaytay, In my opinion there are too many facts and figures, the real test is just to look around to see whats going on. Career politicians want to stay in the euro, because the euro parliment is the next big career stepping stone for them. Immigration doesnt affect them because the migrants don't live in the nice areas they live in. Migrants don't compete with thier jobs and bring thier pay down through undercutting. And if anything, they get the huge benefit of cheap labour from foreign nannys and gardeners (Cameron for example has one).
My point was that we give 'preference' to Europe. Why should we tax other great countries more just because they are not in the EU? And why should we have open borders to anyone in the EU while descriminating against Australians, Americans, Canadians, and other good countries with similar cultures and economies? Like you I'm not inspired by any of the politicians out there, but Farage is like a breath of fresh air. He ws a business man before being a politition, unlike the red and blue nobbs who worked there way up in research offices... in other words, career polititions.I dont doubt us as a country tolish. Most people dont. Its just a matter of opinion as to the direction it needs to take and how we develop. And personally, I am not inspired by many, if any, modern day politions. Most of them lack vision and have self interest at heart. But I am looking for a more equal, progressive and less corrupt society.....cant see ukip delivering that.
Ps.....we do trade and mingle with the whole world as well as europe.
Not at all. its just a discussion, although I understand that the written word can be taken badly by people when that is not the intension. I'd much rather be having a pint and chat with taytay then typing./emoticons/smile.pngyeh but hope mrtaytay understands we are not ganging up on him..../emoticons/smile.png
****** to that, I'm not cleaning windows for nothing!....there is no such thing as money any more...thats all i want ...a world of peace and harmony....and of course ...plenty of plonk..
Same here mate.actually only just really took notice of ukip .....not that long ago....its just ...their policies are the ones i want...something has to change..
