Hi everyone,

Having a clear out - selling diesel heater - works brilliantly. Was in regular use until December when I removed from van as needed space for other kit.

Has diesel tank fitted to side so no need to plumb into van tank (unless of course you want to 🙂)

Feel free to call me on 07356 064676

£1500

Collection from Woking

Dave

I'm not interested in this because I always buy things that are a bargain and then never use them haha.... However, do you have all the plumbing for this? The inlet and outlet port? I ask because with a fuel tank on the side I imagine this literally only needs a battery and plumbing in. Worth mentioning this as someone who is new to hot water would be able to pretty much plug and play with this. Easily transferable to another van as it isn't connected to the fuel tank. I think you're offering a simple professional fix if it has all the plumbing.

That fuel tank is very small and will need filling daily, in fact looks like it holds 5ltr that wouldn’t even last a day ! Ime assuming it’s a fuel tank on the side and not a header tank with water ?

Yes indeedy - just need to put a hole in for exhaust to come out

They only use a couple of litres a day. To some extent it might be a pain to fill but if you find a workaround for that it's a reasonable idea to have them as separate units. Moving it from van to van is literally just a case of cutting 2 30mm holes for the exhaust and air intake. Compare that to the cost ionics would want to reinstall it.

A 9kw boiler uses 1.25 ltr per hour I’ve got 4 of them 😂😂😂😂

There you go. I never knew that. I took what Grippa told me when I bought my hot system. One of our lads left their machine plugged in but turned on over xmas. Didn't notice for 3 days and the van hadn't run out of diesel. It had used a fair amount though.
The book says it uses between 0.9 and 1.1 ltr per hour but real world usage I find it’s 1.25 ltr per hour with most of mine that’s the Grippatank one and 3 ionic Thermopure ones

I imagine that running continuously on a return to tank was more akin to what the manufacturers suggest. Do you have it set on summer or winter for the ionics one? One thing I will say is I do like the extra control you have over the temp on the Grippa system. Even a broken clock is right twice a day
