Hi Guys,
I am thinking of starting my window cleaning round again - it’s been a good few years since I last cleaned windows…. (Am I crazy?)
The corporate rat race has completely wrung me out and so I have resigned from my high profile job and will be starting completely from scratch.
So any advice you can give me will be welcome.
Eg: Hot water system verse cold?
Do I buy a round or canvas?
How long does it take to build a round of - say 2500 PCM minimum?
Best van to buy for a single person etc. (2nd hand of course).
Is there an accounts package for window cleaners to help with paperwork etc.

I have cash ready to invest - but of course also aware that it’s winter time now (not the best time to start).

Just wanted to introduce myself to you and any advice will be appreciated.

I’m based in Derbyshire.

Cheers,
Glenn.

If you have cash then the easist way for a compact run is buying. Why waste years building a run when you can get it instantly, if one becomes available that makes sense for you with travel etc then it's a no brainer.

Lots of big questions there.
Buying a round could give you decent income quickly - maybe even buying an existing business and van would be even quicker.
Hot vs cold - if you have lots of money to spare get hot.
Van - I like my 2019 Peugeot Partner as it has a payload of about 1000kg. Easy to park and turn round but if you want to expand into pressure washing you may want something bigger.
Software - Squeegee is my choice but there is also Cleaner Planner, Aworka etc.

There are lots of options and unfortunately no one can actually tell you what's best for your circumstances.
Best bet is to read the forum as there are many opinions and views to guide you.
