Ova 8 high mod sections splitting

I purchased the ova 8 22ft high mod pole in Feb 2022 and in March this year i had to pay for a replacement section (missing out on the warranty by 3 weeks). In the last month i have had another 2 sections split at the base of each section about 1-2 inches high. Has anyone else had similar issues? I contacted streamline and was told the lifespan of these poles are 16-18 months which really suprised me.

I've had it on Gardiners Xtremes...

Best thing to do is inspect the bottoms of poles and if cracked cut them above crack and retape them.

Thanks for the response. I have taped them so will see how long they last.
