Looks good. Here's mine, meant to have electric reels but they don't have it in stock until end of March
That's good point! Thank you. My previous builds was DIY myself. This is the first time I had a company doing everything for me. Luckily I haven't collect the van yet, will point out in the phone call tomorrowLooks good.
Still amazes me that they don't put an isolation tap on the tank exit. How are you supposed to clean out the filters - you have to drain the tank down!
The input pipe to the right pump seems a little strained and might start leaking - might be worth mentioning when you go back for reel change.
Next time you’re in Screwfix grab yourself some 94p foam pipe insulation. Cut a strip and zip tie it to the top front of the frame. Then when you’re reeling in you won’t take your hand directly into that sharp looking metal bar. Here's mine, meant to have electric reels but they don't have it in stock until end of March

Great advice, the number of times my hand has smacked that bar!!!!!!!Next time you’re in Screwfix grab yourself some 94p foam pipe insulation. Cut a strip and zip tie it to the top front of the frame. Then when you’re reeling in you won’t take your hand directly into that sharp looking metal bar.
I used to have 2 power up HD or 3D. Whichever is the older one. Grippa installed them on a stack just like that. It’s a stinger on a cold morning. Those reels come in rapid too!Great advice, the number of times my hand has smacked that bar!!!!!!!
FYI the van search continues. Had a polite interchange similar to your suggestion. The dealer wouldn't budge on the price so I pointed out my concerns about the service history, sticky clutch and a few cosmetic things and lastly the fact there’s only one key.150k on the timing belt on those mate.
IMO the best spiel is “you want x, I only have x what can you let it go for”. Let’s assume they’re after 7k, you tell them you only have £6200 what can they let it go for. They will try and get you up from £6200… you respond by telling them that’s every penny you have. They need to leave you some for diesel and tax so you were actually hoping for them to take less than £6200. You then make some phone calls and “borrow some money” from your parents to get it over the line. Tell them you’re coming all the way up to £6300 and you’ll sort the tax and petrol yourself… that’s my favourite negotiating tactic haha.
I think you might have dodged a bullit there mate.FYI the van search continues. Had a polite interchange similar to your suggestion. He told me all Peugeot clutches “feel like that” and he can’t move the price on the basis of something that *might* go wrong. I told him I can’t buy something on the basis that something *might* be ok.
After a long pause he said he could knock £195 off for the missing key so I decided to walk. I’ll keep an eye on it and try them again in a couple of weeks if it’s still there/I've not found anything else.
If I’m honest, I quite enjoyed the challenge! It just didn’t quite feel right. Thanks again for all the insights.
