Problem with controller / one shot

not really a mystery lol the controller stops the pump but it doesnt stop the water that has past thru the pump

so the water eft between the pump output and ur hose will still come out until the wter has softened as the pressure is less cose of less water

I use 6mm hose and 2 mm jets and when I press my one click I only get a tiny bit o spill. So you don't always have to change these

Interesting mate, when I had 2mm jets, I had a lot of over spill... Strange isn't it!

Anything to do with hose make??

If it expands widthways with water pressure it would spray for longer while it contracts..not sure if pole hose expands that much..just a thought

Press and hold left and right button until cal displays. Adjust by pressing the up or down button

I wired mine up and had the same problem no flow and P5 finally sorted that down to an airlock but it still carried on flowing for 15-20 seconds after pump turned off I ended up taking hose from the pump off the reel and letting it run and switching on and off a few times and that seems to have done the trick I now press button and a few seconds later no water out of the jets.... Happy days

Right then, I have altered my Cal setting, changed to 3mm jets and run the hose out to its full length. Still doing it! I have contacted Gardiners & Spring to see if they have any ideas, otherwise it will be back to the tap for me!

By the way @Jake I like the look of these 3mm jets, just off to give them a go now

Yes I have twin DI vessels. My system goes 400l tank - pump - twin DI - 100m minibore - pole hose - SLX 35 - 2mm jets.
I did actually order some 3mm jets on your previous recomendation so I'l give them a whirl tomorrow :thumbsup:

Changing jets is not the solution in this case. The issue lies in your set-up:

You state - I have twin DI vessels. My system goes 400l tank - pump - twin DI - 100m minibore - pole hose - SLX 35 - 2mm jets.

Basically the 2x pressure vessels after the pump will hold on to enough residual pressure to keep pumping the water for at least 30 seconds to a minute. There is no fault this is just the way that pressure vessels will work in this set-up.

The solution is very simple, switch the 2x DI vessels to before the pump and pump strainer (must have a pump strainer). This is also healthier for the pump as well as it then means that the pump is not pumping through 2x DI vessels and then 100m of hose. It keeps the input and output sides of the pump better balanced.

I think that's probably the reason Alex, I did ask Jamie if he could try it without the di's to see if that helps, let's see what the result is after he changes this...

Well, all done and it is much better now. There is still quite a bit that comes out but it is 100 times better than before.

It's right what you all said about doing your own system as opposed to buying one complete - you certainly get to learn how it all works!
