I just use disposable wipes to clean the hose I got two types one with bleach. Handy when dog **** is on hose. Can't be bothered putting a cloth like that in my washing machine. Doesn't happen that often but it happened yesterday.....

I use the button and one hand guiding the hose. Would prefer a foot pad like a dentist so I can use both hands, not sure if its available.

I'm sure it's a do able along as you can get a pedal with 2 wires.

I'll be honest if the reel would reel in tightly then it would be perfect, but still my main reason was just being able to keep an eye on what the hose is pulling with it. Only happened once in 2 years but cost a few pound to replace the damage.
