Hi folks, just had an idea but not the brightest spark when it comes to some things.
I've just moved and we have a long drive with a ready made structure which I'm going to plonk a perspex roof on with a bit of guttering.
I would like to recycle water into a butt and then fill up my van from the rain water.
I currently fill up my van from the tap and obviously dumping water down the drain so should think about cutting costs and environment etc.
What I would like advice on and help is how do i transfer water from the butt to the van as it will take forever to fill up.
It only takes a couple of hours to fill up my van but if can save money in any way all good.
    Hope this makes sense,thanks.

Just drop it inside the water butt and connect hose to it to the van.
There is a float switch that turns the pump off it water gets to lower,
