I just watched a video by Tradman where they recommend applying dishwasher soap directly onto the applicator when cleaning windows. They claim this method can help eliminate common issues like streaks. Are there people who clean windows using this technique? Unger's liquid or a dishwasher soap?

When I was trad I tried most things but never used dishwasher soap , I found GG3 very good and still use it now on the odd stuff we still do trad on internals

What did you use or haven't you tried trad yet? Good old Fairy liquid is good.

Haven't tried yet. Purchased Unger's liquid. Waiting for delivery. After watching another Tradman's review, which expressed his satisfaction with it, I've decided to test both. Thank you

Tradman is a little Unger biased as he gets lots of free stuff from them although he did review a pad of theirs not so favourably recently.
I think you need to do lots of research then practice on doing the actual job as you sound like you have your pitch sorted but if you over promise and under deliver your reputation will never be any good.
Keep us informed on how you are doing though as always good to hear how different peoples experience (past experience in other fields included) influences their work. Always good to hear different ideas.

My goal is to eventually manage up to 10 shops per hour. The first six shops I won were within a 100-meter walking distance. Earning £50 per hour is easily achievable.
You've been done over by the shop owners no way in London is a shop front around £4 and they went with you for £5 around 10 years ago maybe more a Greggs shop front outside only was £10.00 and I'm in the North East of England, then the big companies came along charging £6

Just to make you fully aware in case you've missed it any point most of us on here are successful business owners with 10-20+ years of experience in the window cleaning industry, no wool can be pulled over our eyes we have collectively seen it all

To determine my pricing, I surveyed shops I frequently visit in various areas near my residence, inquiring about the fees they paid. All of them reported a rate of £4. Interestingly, in London, there's a notable presence of individuals on unemployment benefits engaging in window cleaning.

Fill your boots at £4 a time.

How can you possibly know that?
Where is that information coming from?
More twaddle you’re listening to same as the prices you think these ‘shopkeepers’ claim to have been paying maybe?
Have you managed to pick up any National chains?

I believe that creating clusters of closely located retail shops can lead to significant profitability. My goal is to eventually manage up to 10 shops per hour. The first six shops I won were within a 100-meter walking distance. Earning £50 per hour is easily achievable.

While I can't reveal my unique selling proposition (USP), one effective strategy that applies to any business is offering a trial when you're confident in your USP.

Among the six shop owners, one insisted on paying if satisfied with my work, but I politely declined, explaining my policy of providing complimentary service to everyone initially. I could see the appreciation in his eyes, and it was clear that I had won over a loyal customer.

Despite my initial cleaning failures, he was one of the two shop owners who agreed to have me return.

I am lucky enough to have a business mentor who happens to be the founder of a tech company and a B2B sales specialist. When he inquired about the key elements in my sales pitch that led to my successful conversions, I mentioned the free trial. He shared his own experience of encountering numerous sellers who promised a lot but failed to offer a free trial.
You can’t reveal your usp ? You charge more and do a worse job by the sounds of it.

hey come on now lads, Ease up on her a bit. Shes just trying to make her way in the world. Bella could you go out with another window cleaner for a day. Thats the best way I found to learn the craft.
No worries; I might have upset a few people with some of my responses. I found it amusing, though; I have a thick skin. They mocked Lee Pryor for returning to his parents' home when he began his business. Well, I've done even more unconventional things – I used to sleep on the streets. So, it just brings a smile to my face.

The problem is you're asking experienced window cleaners for their advice and appear to have an attitude that you somehow know how to generate better work, with no experience, then them.
Cleaning shop fronts at a fiver a pop is poor quality work where I live, let alone London. I admire your confidence but it appears to me, your confidence is stopping you listening to the very sane people you're asking advice from.
Good luck

Well done PC I am a He and not a She(y) Ok Guys and ...Ladies. It has been very challenging and emotionally taxing and feeling paralyzed by fears. However in the past two weeks, I've gained control and in a month I aim to hire my first employee! My conversion rate is just great. USP is everything. I have to increase my speed to clean the shops. I watched Fish Window Cleaning, a USA-based window cleaning franchise, clean shops in just 4 minutes.. I switched to Trad and it is much more economically viable than pure water. My customers are happy. Such a contrast with my disastrous reach and wash experience. I put my first earnings aside and will frame them. She even gave me more than expected as I took a lot of time removing an adhesive with a scraper. During my second cleaning, I told her that she was my first customer and that I would always personally clean her shop.
