tall round bucket

anyone seen a bucket like this? im sure iv seen these somewhere over the yrs but cant remember where....

Yes, farmers use them, they hold chemicals, I have a couple that I use myself for cloths, they hold about 20 ltrs. With regard to oblong buckets, I made a lid from mdf and painted it to waterproof, then just fixed it on with bungie-cord while moving about, worked very well.

Not sure if anyones answered the question Boar, but that looks like a plasterers bucket. They are tall like that so you can use a mixer in them. If you are going to use one, you better get something to sit it in so it doesnt tip if you break hard. Although you won't be filling it high as it'll weigh about 30 kilos. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Quality varies, but the best I ever used are made by a company called Refina. About 3 times as thick as a normal one, and probably unbreakable. Thicker handle too. I have a few myself.

Once upon a time I had dreams of becoming one. Got my city n guilds, and even NV Q, but I fooked my shoulder up and decided against persuing it. Glad I didnt really, it was a wake up call that made me realise I wasnt invincible. I still do plastering jobs, but because I am not doing it all the time it doesnt mess up my body as bad. Thats why I went the handyman route instead- every day is different. Your body gets tired, but you don't get the RSI that you would get if you specialised in something like plastering.

is it the plastering one you think would be best for purpose BC?

I wouldn't like to be doing soffit cleaning/guttering or gutter vac more than 2 hours a day as it's hard on the neck, RSI of the neck I reckon

I use the unger big rectangular one and half full it sits in my boot without spilling with no lid

Need to have my applicator in there and that seems to stop the water slopping about

If i am doing customers who i know have an outside tap i will just empty the bucket between jobs anyway as i only have plain water in me bucket

Put a few tools in the bucket and you can drive like nigel mansel

lol, my old boss used to have us holding the ladders on too, with our arm out the car window. No time to strap them on. Sometimes he used to forget and we'd been driving around with no straps or anyone holding them. They never came off, but it's a wonder they didn't /emoticons/biggrin.png
