The best delivery hose

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Funny enough my delivery hose got a big split last week. I use the common black ribbed stuff. I have 20 metres of it. I went to order some more but the guy on the phone said try a splitter/adapter instead. It was only £6, so thought yeh why not. As a new hose is £45Ish

Anyway just fitted and filled up ?? Na can’t get it water tight. Was spraying everywhere. The ribbed lining inside stops you getting the adapter on far enough. So gonna order some new hose tomorrow.

But that black hose has lasted since December 16. I’ve trod on it dozens of times. And I drag it on the ground, it’s also frozen loads of times over the years etc etc. so £45 well spent. It has had several small leaks over the years, but I find a few laps of PTFE tape and then a few laps sellotape over that works fine.

My old boss had the thicker tougher Green hose, but in the winter I think it goes too rigid for me.

But now I’m quite interested in this transparent hose posted above. Hmmm...
I’ve used the same length of the green ribbed hose for 11 years. Good stuff ?

trust me its a good solid hose with a nice thickness side wall, i dont see how i could even split it if im honest. best is its braided internally (molded physically in the plastic/rubber) so the inside is smooth as glass (pun inteded) and i have found that a 38mm solvent weld waste pipe as in the photo fits snug. i put the end in the sink full of hot water for five minutes before putting a good smear of fairy on the pipe and ive never had a leak...deffo reccomend
