I highly recommend the SLX range as well. That extra 5' will also come in real handy. I doubt you'll regret it believe me.

That slightly shorter collapsed length makes a difference when working in restricted space as well. Mind you I nearly poked some poor bloke in the face this morning with mine. I was doing a front door when this guy delivering leaflets walked up behind me. Dunno where he was at as I'm nearly 6' and I'm waving a 5' pole around. He must've been blind as the proverbial bat. Fortunately I just caught sight of him in time and was able to avoid jabbing him. We laughed and parted amicably thankfully.

Yeah tbf there's been the odd window that's been a real struggle and my 20ft pole is flexing to the point of near snapping to reach so I'm hoping I can clamp higher now and reduce flex with a longer pole.

Yeah tbf there's been the odd window that's been a real struggle and my 20ft pole is flexing to the point of near snapping to reach so I'm hoping I can clamp higher now and reduce flex with a longer pole.

Going straight to a carbon pole you will notice a massive difference in how rigid it is. It will feel odd briefly but you will spend much less effort trying to control the pole especially when reaching over a conny or at full reach. There is still some flex at full reach but not nearly as much as with a fiberglass pole. Can't compare it to an ali pole as I've never tried one but from your description they sound similar to fiberglass at full reach. Very bendy.

Yep just waiting for them to be available and I'll order one. Never thought a carbon pole would be <£500 which is why I ruled them out.

I have a facelift backpack and I use their rubber for my squeegee but I think their poles seem too expensive compared to others around. Will have another look tonight before I buy one though, thanks.

The xline evolution poles are good. I've got a carbon one and I think the clamps are a lot better than others nice and secure and the levers don't spin round like the water genie and gardiner ones.

The levers have not been able to spin around on our Gardiner Smart clamps for a while now due to the design of the clamp body - these V2 Smart Clamps have been for sale for about 2 years now.

I have used Xline poles from the off, got a 22ft pocket 3k carbon, very stiff literally no bend but the life on it is terrible, section 2 nearly gone now 5 months in, then a 25 and 30ft pro + both good and a 50ft that I dont use much.

Saying that I'm thinking of changing over to Gardiner after seeing my mates ones and trying them out a bit, been like a kid in a candy shop looking on the site at all the brushes /emoticons/smile.png

Maybe I will get looked after by @Alex Gardiner when I make the conversion over /emoticons/wink.png

the gardner clamp levers defo dont spin there very nce only niggle is the bolts work lose so they need a tweek every now and then no biggy tho, can any one defo confurm that the clamp levers spin or not on the water geni viper poles ???

On the barracuda (the equivalent of the clx) they do, But i find them stiff enough not to be a pain in the ****

Can't find other post, but I'm afraid I have my new slx22, got it from doug at daqua. Got the fully flocked sill brush with it for a change, my 3 boys all thought it great for brushing their hair. Enjoy your pole when it comes[emoji2]

slx all the way, the gd thing when the sections are worn you just replace them

so your pole lasts ages.

Yeah that's the other someone else recommended but the amount of people on Gardiners side swayed me this time. I'm a newbie to all this so I'm basically going in the direction of the masses when it comes to WFP equipment until I'm more knowledgeable about it!

Haha yeah I know, bless it. Has more than paid for itself but I bought it as a novice kit as I was just using WFP as a back up to my traditional methods cos I didn't think it was that great a few years ago when I tried it out. How wrong I was. Ladder only comes off the van for roofs and gutters now. Hence getting pro grade poles and brushes and putting the aluminium Unger one to the 'emergency' standby pile of bits and pieces for work.
