Van Waterproofing, Rubber Mats

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Hello all.

Just picked up my first van. About to kit it out but stuck at how to waterproof it. Was going to Fiberglass it but then someone has told me about this rubber matting you cut to size and glue/nail down. Has anyone got experience with it?

Thanks, Alexandros.

I got my rubber matting from ebay as a company sells them on there and they are cut to suit all van makes and models.

Think i paid around £35 for my peugeot partner swb rubber matting.

That's decent. How do you find it in use? I'm just a bit worried about water getting in round the edges but I may just be being over cautious. Also, do you remember the info for this company? Thanks, Alexandros.

Its pretty good stuff for the price and no doubt the cheapest option to try and waterproof the back of your van. I allways give it a quick wipe down at the end of each day as i try and keep my van tidy.(ish) i will have a look at my receipts and get you the name of the company?

I have a mat and water finds its Way underneath the mat. With my tank bolted down its difficult to dry.

Mine dose sometimes too .to be honest a rubber matt isn't a long term sollution to water proof s van but its a quick cheap option.only decided to fit mine as i only had a day to swap all my equipment ect from my old van to ny new van before insurance changed over to my new van so the matting was an easy option at the time.
