Not at all. I understood how you were calculating (your 60 is my 30). No biggie. My point being was that I found that at that angle it still didn't get cleanly into corners on the deeper Aluminium frames that are really common over here on new domestic and most commercial builds.
Before I angle cut my channels, I had straight cut but still with dog-earing, and I used to have a similar problem. I got round it though by squaring onto the frame as I went round the corner. It wasn't as good as angle cut, but it worked OK. Is it to do with those wide channels in your pic?

No not really. If you look at the right hand photo you'll see it has a cut at that point anyway. With the way I use the Wag Widebody the 45° cut closer to the channel front allows me to get right into the corner without 'kinking" my wrist.
