hard work when the gear is not right really ****** off buying on line guessing really no gd

You can buy your own panels, charge controller, inverter and batteries for very little. Then you an export electric to your neighbours! Bimble are great for panels, go elsewhere for other bits though

The pole I've got has little Bend in it.

The SLX47 isn't ideal for solar panels. Even the Xtreme 47 bends at those angles but still better than the SLX at those lengths & angles. Used for windows the Xtreme 47 is very rigid, however once you start at high solar panel angles the pole has to cope with it's own weight & forces in a situation it wasn't really designed for. I would probably opt for a SL2 modular if I was doing serious amounts of high solar panels.

Gardiners make it, it's their original modular pole the SL2 (Super-Lite 2). It's modular, i.e. you push the sections together like a fishing pole. Fantastic for high work but nowhere near as robust as a telescopic pole, if you stand on a section it will break.

Hi everyone.

In response to the original subject at hand, DC current is always present, so the risk of electrocution is present. Smurf is correct, small ampages can seriously hurt you. NO ONE SHOULD BE CLEANING SOLAR PANELS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO DO SO SAFELY.

I was asked by the FWC to write an article about whether window cleaners should clean solar panels. It was the front page and feature article for the latest issue. In a nutshell, I said 'No, not without knowledge and or training' and they agreed. That's why they published the article. For years I have been saying that solar panel cleaning is NOT window cleaning and the FWC agree.

In February I am running the UK's first solar panel cleaning training and information day. It will be comprehensive and obviously a large part of it will be H&S. It is available to all who wish to become a Clean Solar Solutions Ltd Approved Contractor.

I know for some of the more proud among you it won't appeal. You already know all there is to know about solar panel cleaning don't you? However, for the other more open minded of you who see it as an emerging part of their business, to be linked with the company seen by the solar industry as the pioneers of solar panel cleaning in the UK, the day may be appealing.

As everyone knows, I am coy about the information I disclose online, but the training and information day will be an open forum because the people who will be there are those genuinely interested in working with us.

It's the amps what kill

Volts mean nothing

12volt car battery but **** loads of amps from the coil will give you a big shock

240volt with low amps would do less damage

And why are you on here solar steve?

Just to tell us how good you are and offer for us to go to a training day

Wind your neck in

This forum is for people to help each other on here not make money from training us

Is it not just free advertising for you being on here
