Liquidator not hitting the spot

WCF

Help Support WCF:

That is a wagtail erkonomic tip

Very easy to break so i have been told

If you turn the pole over 180° and then attach wagtail it is a completely different angle to work with

I just prefer an adjustable crank

I'm not knocking @keefo's vids as I think he's trying to get to the bottom of a lot of our problems. But, shouldn't we as professional window cleaners be able to blade the glass a lot quicker and not have to slow down to adapt to this tool?

You don't need to slow down tuffers

I don't and am fine

It is as said before a completely different tool which behaves differently but is very precise when used properly

it is the same as a wagtail as in it needs to be used differently and some people can't get the hang of it

I suppose some people adapt easier than others to a new tool

I bet if i showed you how to use it in person you would either crack it straight away or never get the hang of it

Suppose we are all different and adapt to different things easier

Doesn't mean the tool is at fault though

Yeah, but it's a squeegee. We can all use a squeegee can't we? But why are people struggling with something so simple. I don't know if I've cracked it but, I've put the red Razrblade back in both mine and it seems to be working on my windows (not tried it on any other windows since). Do you find the Razrblade needs to bed in @daveyboy1?

One other thing to think about. These problems people are having with the liquidator. Could it be something to do with the soap some are using? If people could post if they are getting good results, could they let us know what soap they use. Also, could people post if they are having problems and what soap they are using. It's a long shot, but could help eliminate these problems. I have always found using 'pure' water when tradding more difficult as there seems to be less slip. I use Ecover as my soap btw.

It works for me whatever soap I use so sorry that's not going to help you much. As long as it has good slip on the glass the liquidator will work ok no matter what rubber you use too. Handle wise myself I prefer 20 degree handles.

Could you post what soap you use so it can be ruled out please Smurf. I may be onto something or maybe not. But if people could post their findings it may help.

Seems you use ecover I will pop out to the van now and then let you know if it works ok in 5 mins or so in this heat.

The slip was actually better than the chepo morrison lemon blast I nicked of the wife. What I do is soak the applicator in just plane tap water and apply a run of soap along the lengh of it.

yes finally got peeded off with my new moerman leaving marks so switched back to my old pulex cheapo **** but..er....that was just as bad...look cheapie just had a :turd::turd::turd: day cause :turd: happens...

I should put that on a t shirt..

for some reason unbeknown to him cheapie is now using ecover which I know mr taytay and others have reported is not so good in the heat...

back to fairy tomorrow so will check again daveyboy...

Used my 14" at home yesterday, just to see if it would behave itself! Did inside living room and not one line, glided on the glass beautifully, only had a small closing out issue at the bottom but that was down to me. Went to do the outside of same window, well, it was as though I was using a different squeegee, lines on pretty much every pass and (does anyone else have this?) it felt like it was fighting against me and I lose control especially near the bottom as I'm closing out.

I use asda eco

Wagga uses magnum or ecover

Polz uses w5 i believe

Seen someone on utube using gg4

Seems the soap doesn't matter as long as it's slippy

Sounds like the problem was if you used it at the right angle not enough slip as the outside glass will be hotter and dirtier than the inside so it will tend to drag on the glass.

Ant, I straightened up the clips at weekend and i do find it smoother on the glass now, although rubber does still buckle now n then and that's not doing a sharp turn. I don't have to put much pressure on squeegee for it to take all the soap and doesn't leave water trails from the middle but after doing our internals sunday night you can still see lines from the top of the squeegee. I can't see them when sun is directly on window like midday heat but more when it's rising or setting. I've tried palmolive, morning fresh (equivalent to fairy here) and a specialised soap called WCD 70 which has lubricants in it. I've tried closer to the window, going quicker, going a few inches into the dry area, 1/2 inch into the dry area, not pressing as hard......be careful though Ant, it can start to make you feel ill looking for lines and when you think you've cracked it, you see one.
