Whats The Worst?

The hours for me, my day doesn't end when I stop cleaning windows. Please someone tell me it gets easyers??

Weathers not much of an issue for me, I dont work 5 days nor do I plan too so I can work with it.

Why doesnt your day end when you finish cleaning windows?
I end up pricing jobs after 5, calling people back, Checking emails, bumping topics on facebook. adding up money, checking books, adding people to books, checking receipts, filling tank, washing scrims/cloths. The list goes on. Theres allways somethin for me to do after Im finished. Ive tried putting it off but then end up with even more to do...

What life. I came to realise a long time ago that if you take away your job, you friends, your wife and kids, your family. What is left? Those are the important things, they are the things that brings you happiness and a sense of self worth. All I know is that I will likely spend, 40% of the wakened hours of my life working. So rather than spend it dragging my feet complaining about it, I do and will continue to do my best and enjoy the time I have. When its said and done, hopefully I can say I learned a thing or two, and I took great pride in what I did.

Well each to there own. I dont plan on working that much lol

my point that I was trying to make is that your work is a huge part of your life. Its like that film click, would you really want to just fast forward through such a huge part of your life. The phrase "work to live" food for thought for someone who can't spend time with their family because of a hectic work schedule, but its the road to self destruction, for someone, who feels their work life, should be at the bottom of their priority list.

It is when it starts to take over your life and social life
I used to have a convenience store- 5am until 10pm then home to count takings and prepare float for the next day. I never finished before 11pm and that was seven days a week.

I now work from half eight to five five days a week and have one week in four off. Window cleaning hasn't taken over my life it's allowed me to have my life back.

I agree ladder, you need to put in the hours and effort to reap the rewards.. Lately I have been exhausted, sore, stressed to the max, on the go from 8-late.. I don't want to be like that everyday for the next 30 years tho..

I work 32.5 hours a week at the moment, during the light nights, I work 8 - 6 on the glass then 6-7 collecting three nights a week, then a half day. So even though I spend allot of time doing other things like paperwork, etc. It still leaves me plenty of time for a life.

I dont feel it should be at the bottom I just dont plan on working flat out all week. Theres no need for me to be doing that. I can make more than enough money in 3 - 3 half days to live comfortably. Why would I want to clean even more windows. I would rather have an easyer life. Ive got a kid due in 7 weeks. I really dont want to be spending all my time doing work stuff. I want to see him grow up, no watch or get to spend time with him on weekends.

I don't do it but the bit I'm dreading the most is getting the accounts in order, that will probs change once it get cracking though lol
