Only just got in from a night out with the lads. Its a poly roof....not glass, which makes it an easier clean.....I hope.

Tempted to settle on a daily rate rather than quote........is it achievable in a day and a half?

If it is a poly you can brush it down then just hose it off nice and easy /emoticons/smile.png never had a problem doing it that way with poly sheets. I think you could a achieve it in a day if you worked solid, nice ans easy I would go for a day and half ect more money and you wont ache as much when you get home /emoticons/wink.png

I would allow 2 full days to do that one properly inside & out.

Good luck with the quote;)

Evening fellow window cleaners. Sorry, been super busy over the past few days so been unable to post. Made a promise to myself to start taking the odd saturday off. All work and no play make jack a dull boy!

Still found time to brew 40 pints of golden ale this afternoon!

Lol I'll have few please mrtaytay ☺, did you clean that con roof?

Your welcome to a pint Joshua...there is about 80 pints in the house at the moment, not to mention the 60 or 70 bottles of various fruit wines....oh!...and the blackberry whisky!. (an ideal night cap)

I am doing the swimming pool in about 2 weeks time and want to make sure that I have the right equipment...even if it means spending a bit. I must admit I get asked to do conny roofs quite a lot and was thinking it might be an idea to invest in a waterfed pole and brush instead of doing them with my unger pole and applicator.. I just wondered what people thought of this brush and pole I have seen on amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/WATER-TELESCOPIC-WINDOW-CONSERVATORY-CLEANING/dp/B005GUFH1Q

It may well be rubbish but would welcome peoples views.

If you want my honest opinion it looks ***** as your £69 could go towards a decent wfp instead

well it looks very similar to one sold on ebay for £36 and i use it all the time for conny roofs...the idea of connecting it to a tap is a laugh as it came out of all the joints and soaked me...very funny..

.the guy selling them is good though and he does have all the spare parts.....i actually had two as on a facia clean i lazily dropped it from about two foot to the ground from half way up my ladder as i rushed back up to dry off the facia and although it was onto grass the head snapped off...i didnt quite mention it to the ebay bloke but he gave me another with an ali thread for free, instead of the plastic and thats what he sells now....much stronger...great brush but the joints need gluing after a while as with any force they come undone and really annoy as the pole spins around....i was going to post a review in gavs section...for the price canna grumble....reminds me i have to get some strong glue...

he also sells a fibre glass wfp which i may be getting as a cheap way in ....30 foot for £130....yes i know some will say buy better but for the price and the amount of times i will use it and of course the cost of the rest of the equipment...../emoticons/smile.png

That whisky sounds like the best night cap ever I might nick all my grandads beer making equipment /emoticons/tongue.png

That pole looks crap off ebay I have just bought a WFP brush for my harris pole and some pipe hopefully it will do the trick for next week /emoticons/smile.png

Yes, I am going to ditch the e bay pole and go for a quality product. One that will last and also speed the job up. The swimming pool is a big job and i dont want to embarress mysel by turning up with rubbish kit. I get quite a few roof jobs so a good pole and brush will serve me well. One customer of mine has her conny roof cleaned every 2 months!

The whisky is spot on. Will be making nettle beer soon.

Yeh I will buy a decent pole in a few months just getting finances sorted /emoticons/smile.png

Ive heard of people making nettle beer never tried it thou, think Im raiding my grandads loft tomorrow /emoticons/smile.png
