Definitely. Me being a professional window cleaner is something I'm proud of. I have it written on my van. I've also used a Squeegee since 1993, but being able to use both WFP and traditional isn't what makes a professional window cleaner.

Lets be honest - Window cleaning ain't hard!

I believe the difference between a cowboy and a pro is a fine line, and that fine line is called "Attention to Detail". Caring how you leave the job, and knowing you've done the job to the best of your ability.

It's not that fine a line

Green sills and frames = *****

Everything sparkling clean = good

I show too much attention to detail i have been told as if i think something needs a scrub or a wipe to make the job stand out i will do it even though not actually quoted for

Hence the small spray bottle of ubik and water hooked over my belt just in case

Takes 2 seconds to give something a spray and wipe rather than leave a job looking not 100%

Then you get known for the quality of your work

Same as Greens vid of a first clean..i know so many people who would just do the glass as normal and a halfhearted wipe over the frame with a sill cloth and done

There is a massive line from cowboys to pro cleaners. I do not have a van yet with sign writting on it etc, I hear everyone say you need a van with writting on it etc stand out! Why? I have got many customers off other WFP cleaners and they are doing crap jobs in nice vans and large company vans, but do bad cleans and bad communiction. I show I have pride in my work, from how I conduct myself to the customer to clear comminication and being on time, friendly, great cleaning and good communication on next booking etc. So many windys out there that rush jobs, rush the customer service and not appear as they should.

But this crap i have had off windys in the street is pathetic, "thats not real cleaning" WTF? so cleaning all the frames and vents out etc is not good whilst he just done the glass and wiped the sill really quick is a top job then? lol

I feel if you can perform a great clean then what the hell does it matter how it is done? I can use both and have the tools to do both, but prefer and mainly 98% use WFP as I feel its s better clean I can offer, but thats imo.

LOL - I am a pro, but I belive there are different levels, some guys are really good and been doing it for years and are not only good cleaners but have knowledge and skills, I no whom they are on here by talking. I by no means am a full pro, I am professional in my set up and deliveyr in my service, smart, clean, polite, good communication and thw windows are perfect and what the customer wants, so I would class that as a pro. There are cleaners near me whom I no have done it for years and to me they are not pro, as there deliver of service is crap and the clean is crap, even as a newbie to the market I can say that with confidence, so time does not make you a pro its how you apply your skills and how much effort you put into it that makes you a proper pro cleaner. In short pride and care in your business will ensure your a pro whom is respected by customers. I still come on hear for tips/advice as its great to learn of people whom have picked up tips and ideas over there time of cleaning.

Cheers Dave, 120 customers it is and have a few custys whom are now and then, getting there aiming for 280 customers really, I have a good amount on 4 weekly so happy but have some 6 weekers too and odd 8 weeker. eVEN HAVE A FEW 2 Weekers. Just nervous still it dries up, but keeping at it as I love the job so much, its great. Just gotta get that cirtificate now and the tshirt
