The problem is new window cleaners come on the block after seeing someone using the pole & think its easy. Quick wipe & rinse & bobs yer uncle. I also thought this but got a sharp shock first time I tried. The thing I begrudge is wfpers come on and say its cleans better & it does all the frames & it's quicker & they stay cleaner & it's like they look down on tradders I also take a lot of work off wfpers for whatever reason & as they say the customer is always right. Incedently I like both methods but prefer trad.

It doesn't tolish. I've tried. I usually scrape it with my fingernail so a brush ain't gonna do it.

Trad only doesn't clean the frames when the guy with the tools can't be arsed to do it

Same as wfp if you don't scub some bits they won't get clean

And there lies the problem, you didnt come on saying its safer and quicker, you said it cleaned better.

I wanna hot water system. Hot water definitely breaks through dirt easier. I use the corner of the brush to agitate stubborn stains and haven't scratched a single window yet

That's because they are stuck in the dark ages and haven't been educated properly. People are used to the window being dry straight away. People don't like change.

Strange how they used to use newspaper and vinegar back in the day yet don't now. It's all about time and motion. The quicker u can do a job at the standard needed, the more money you earn. For me the future of window cleaning is pure water window cleaning.

Pure water has had things taken out of it therefor it has no active ingredients that normal water hasnt, so it aint gonna work any better by itself on said spider *****.

And now you're getting to the real reasons for going WFP which no one has any problem with, I havent argued against any of that. So fool the customers dont try baffling people here with science, especially when its false or irrelevent.

For me, with no science or anything to back it up, I did the best I could trad, spent time getting frames clean etc, I take pride in my work, but doing them WFP, again, for me, gets a better result, faster, safer and easier.

Not saying that is the same for everyone but that is what I have found.

In my opinion id say some customers expect a window cleaner to be someone of a minion worker hence they simply expect to see you work hard somewhat for the money there paying you. When you use a wfp and in their eyes your not breaking a sweat they dislike the fact that it seems your earning easy money from them and they get unhappy about it. Basically they want blood and sweat for what they pay you. The typical mistake is to acuse other window cleaners of doing it wrong which makes the method look faulty instead emphasise the fact that wfp is better in the ways that it is compared to trad but explain that if any mistakes overlooks or complications aren't brought to the cleaners attention once windows are dry how do they know the problem exists. Usually it's a dodgy rubber, seal or bleeding varnished facia above the window that causes issues. We all need to emphasise the pro's of wfp and cover eachothers backs when customers are in doubt instead of putting eachother down and making the system look too complicated for the user
