Keeping pure from freezing

Anyone any idea how to stop it freezing. I keep mine stored in 3 water butts & last year wrapped bubble wrap round em which was pretty good but we had a pretty mild winter.

Racking me brains what to do this year.

Any ideas??

isopropanol,aquarium heaters.i store my water butts under a lean to & when it gets really cold, I use a paraffin light which produces enough heat to stop freezing.it can be a fire risk if not secured correctly tbh.

Yeh I've got two aquarium heaters that I've squeezed into a piece of foam. So I just throw them into my tank so they float and heat the water
