Kodi (XBMC) box

Anyone got one, do you rate it? A mate of mine popped round earlier and told me to get one as you can get movies, sport etc on them. The going rate is about £30. I've just gone on eBay and the feedback of the sellers selling these is pretty poor. Would you be tempted to buy one? kodi box | eBay

I got an Amazon fire stick and my mate was telling me to have it Kodi (jail broke) but I am always suspicious of these sort of things.

If you buy off ebay and it's no good a quick complaint and you get a refund. Simple

I pay for mine too Damo, very disappointed with them all though, they claim 'thousands of movies and programs. Perhaps over the course of a decade but they all seem very slow with updates of new content.

I have the Amazon Fire stick with kodi on it. Get all the sport & latest films & all old tv etc. It works fine but you need a good internet connection. I got mine off eBay for £49 & is well worth it. Horta be prepared to scout around to get the best picture but for £50 it's well worth it I think.

What do you mean by this? Do you have to 'channel surf' in order to get clearer pictures?

Nah wot I mean is sometimes I go to watch football on say sky sports 1 but get a better picture on maybe a Dutch channel even tho I can't understand it. But the films are fine.

My nipper watches 'live streaming' of footy matches, the picture is pants most of the time. Do these devices give you a better picture? I don't really understand how they work.

I've got one and I have just started getting the sticks and building them myself they are the nuts for movies,porn, and sport is good if you can find a good stream but movies are top quality [emoji108]

Tell me how you get the films Neil. Can you not just stream your iPad through the TV or is there more to it? I know the TV's these days have apps and stuff and you can stream youtube etc, but how are these boxes different?

It's pi55 easy to do it yourself with the Amazon Fire stick, plenty of YouTube vids explaining how to install it.

I've got an android box with kodi showbox and loads or other stuff on, cost me 45 quid but worth every penny, mainly put kids TV or kids films on and its really good quality, can't fault it
