Hello guys .I switched to using fans earlier in the year and loved them till I cleaned some cladding with them and really struggled to get a good rinse. As the pencils were still fitted to the brush I switched back them and the result was amazing. The rinse was much more effective with the pencils. My thoughts are that fans are great for light maintenance work but when you need to shift a bit more dirt the pencils win out every time. So for the moment I'm back on pencils
Hello guys .
Been away for awhile , down in Devon refurbishing my sisters house ( near enough a rebuild ) my mate has kept my round in order , all the custies seem glad to see me back , I had explained to them that I'd be away for a while luckily they were used to my mate working with me so no problems .
I ordered a new brush with fan jets from X line a couple of wks ago , the one I had been using had pencil jets , there's nothing wrong with with one I had just thought I'd get a spare and try one with fans , the only difference I can see between the two is a bigger spread with fans when the pressure is turned right up way more than what I usually work at , does anyone know what the difference is meant to be between pencil & fans , there doesn't seem to be any difference to me under normal pressure ,apart from the brush with the fans cost more than one with pencils.
I changed the resin today when I got back , last couple of fills (25lts containers ) had crept up to 002 , anyway started the filling process with the new resin and filled five containers (125 litres ) casually checked the last one before filling the other ten containers , the reading was022 WTF ! After checking the vessel the top of the pipe inside the vessel wasn't nipped to the lid , good job I didn't fill the lot and start the offices tomorrow unaware of the TDS ,could have been a lot of spotting , I will be checking each container from now on LOL.
Cheers guys .
Glenn.
Fan jets are supposed to give you a wide spray (supposedly better for hydrophilic glass) so you get a more even spread on the rinse vs pencil on those types of glass where you get runs down the glass rather than sheeting.Hello guys .

That sounds about right trev , l could definitely see the difference when I cranked the pressure up with the fans , so it's back to the pencils for the Windows and the fans when I do a plastic clean on mains pressure.Pencils on standard flows ie general window cleaning.
Fans on mains tap pressure for plastics / conservatories etc, there superb on high pressure.
