If you can afford it get a 30 meter length of 2 wire hose' date=' i take a 15m and a 30 m too every job and use the one that means i dont need too move the washer also i have both washers set up so that i can attach from customers outside tap straight to the pump and not use a barrel if i dont have too, some areas here have real good mains pressure and i dont need the barrel at aw,youll soon know if you need a barrel as the pump will cavitate as in the pressure will rise and fall as it draws air, in my opinion dont bother buying a fsc, ive used mine 3 or 4 times , dont rate em , buy a good turbo nozzle, does a far better job if you ask me. Northers Star sell a Honda 13hp with everything you need and a 12lpm Comet pump, it was the first one i bought and did 95% of jobs without a barrel, the pump lasted 3 years and i changed it for a Cat pump, learnt my trade on that one though and did a lot of work before it expired , the engine still going strong /emoticons/smile.png[/quote']I would take it from the barrel every time. It will prolong the life of your pressure washer.
gaffer' date=' do you have to stop and start when feeding from a water drum, how big a water butt do you use, or does the tap water keep the drum topped up while you are cleaning.[/quote']The water drum stays topped up mate, I use a 22 litre only because its small. I very rarely have to stop only if im going crazy with it lol. When it does stop its not for long.
I was told this was the best way to do it as there less stress on the washer and when your paying all that money you really want to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
what lpm is your washer gaffer' date=' i had visions of stoping and starting using a water drum with a 15+ lpm washer ive been told. if thats the case i will have no worrys if it dosent empty the water source. puts my mind at rest.[/quote']15lpm, I have been at some places where I can empty it. It really depends what the waters pressures like I think? Its never been a problem for me though.
this is one ive been thinking of getting because of the geardrive pump. theres also a honda one on ebay im watching' date=' 3 days left honda GX390, ill see what it goes for, not too far to pick up.[/quote']
