But we did learn that as a single operator doing window cleaning full time, you need at least a 400 liter tank. Both boys have 500 liters tanks in their vans which are more than sufficient for a days work
wow that's a lot mate, I carry 350ltr & have never run out on my own although I've come close, now I have my lad with me we use mebbe 450 a day, we only use backpacks so wonder if its to do with flow rate ??
We fitted son's brush with 1mm jets as an experiment. He loves them. It helps him to save water but he also now has enough squirt to blast any bits off the windows. With 2mm jets the flow of water just trickled out.yeah I didn't realise you were near the coast, I was trad in Scotland near the coast for a while & noticed the difference.I've just got my lad a gardiners v3 - I have a v2 - and he had it on full bore fri/sat and seemed to use less water and he was definitely faster
You will get a pretty good idea if you aim the jets into a container and let the pump run for a minute. Then measure the amount of water that you have collected. I've done that with my Varistream on a couple of settings.I'm just wondering now if theres something i should do different. I have the tap on my belt so switch water off when moving between windows, i'm not even aiming for a 'curtain of water' when rinsing (like i did when first started). To be fair i have been thinking of getting a digital water meter so i can see how much water im actually using.
