Elbow joints!

davey one of the guys on here ages ago said that when cleaning when the water is flowing he never rinses

just gives the windows extra gd clean

 
I would have done duncs but i knew tomorrow was quiet for me and the weather is better

 
the forcast was really poor today but managed full day mind did,int get in from collecting until 9pm

not the best , just as well got most of it collected but hav,int had tea yet

 
Talking of aches and pains etc, I had an old boy approach me last week and said quite aggressively "put some bloody gloves on" I replied "I'm fine thanks". He then informed me that he'd been a windie all his life and wished he'd worn gloves more often. He then showed me his hands, and no kidding, they were like parrots feet :eek:. He told me they hurt with arthritis and make life difficult.

I've started to wear gloves when the weather is cold now, don't want to mess up my darts hand!

 
that weard guy said to me middle january " get some gloves on " also i would if i had,int lost them

I've found that if use you the pole in the same motion as you would a snooker cue, it takes a lot of pressure off your elbow on your upper arm. As in let it slide up and down between you finger and thumb and keep your arm fairly straight. And I also alternate between left and right quite frequently to spread out the wear evenly and hopefully avoid RSI.

Surely that then puts extra strain on the arm/elbow taking the full weight, no? I think we need to use our body movement more.

If working very high most of the movement should be from walking backwards and forwards instead of the arms

Is anyone else experiencing elbow joint problems??
Mine seems to be feeling arthritic or some kind of rheumatism going on. I really feel it most when I've been using the pole at 30+ft, and after the rinsing stage where the pole is used for leverage and puts pressure on the arm/elbow joint.

I'm sure I'm not alone here. Anyone use a brace??

I use peptides alot mostly all year I train with weights etc there used a lot now for injurys etc depends if you can stick a pin in ya belly few times a day? I had lot of pain in joints now I'm OK you need to be looking at things like Tb500 Google them and have a read.

WTF are peptides , a lot of you guys are weightlifting, training , going down the jym etc, when I've done a days work , trad & pole, I've had enough exercise for the day, all I want to do is have a couple of beers and relax and prepare for another hard day tomorrow .

I am one of the old farts (66) whose been through the pain barrier many times I've had injections ( cortisone ) for golfers & tennis , I had five injections in one elbow over a period of time , it all started with the trowel bricklaying and then periodically on the Windows, the doc said no more injections because it could turn the cartridge into jelly !

I know some of you guys might say well why don't you retire ? I am but gradually winding down over the next year or two LOL .

Yep! I have bad tennis elbows from time to time and a static back problem , gotta be careful of my moves and how fast i pull / lift and so on .., Weight training is the only thing thats Keep me on the job /emoticons/smile.png

 
I found the best thing for aches and everything believe it or not is chilli

Sounds weird but it does wonderful things to your metabolism and has the same effect as opiates to your brain as you actually get a physical buzz from them

I eat chilli with every meal except roast dinner

I just made chicken pesto pasta with a chopped up selection of chilli from my freezer

It has habanero ..scotch bonnet..cayenne..birds eye..cherry bomb and hungarian hot wax all chopped up in it

Bit fiery but what a buzz lol

I swear by chilli and green tea to keep you healthy

Hi Glen I'm not into drinking no more nothing wrong with it but for me it just doesn't do enough for me.i will drink odd time for occasional meets.i go to the gym as I find this is the only time I relax lol and it stops me been a moody git..at your age I may be different I'm only 32 as for peptides you need to Google them also beleave it or not but growth hormone is been used in USA for cartilage regeneration you can inject small amounts into the area it has been proven to work and some people over there are prescribed this.it is expensive to buy here but why you think sly stalone ect look great at there age.just Google peptides and injurys.the peptides are not harmful either to the body as they are only a growth hormone stimulator not synthetic growth hormone.
