Talking To Other Windys

That sounds good mate. I'm looking forward to a normal life, no going away again, working hard for myself and enjoying abit of a slow tempo life.

You'll find it hard at times, time wasters, non payers etc etc but you'll love it. Some people are so great full you wouldn't believe it, puts a smile on me face every time. I'm used to selling stuff and sometimes you had to pressure people into buying just so you could feed the family. Never got a sense of hard work, well earned dough in me pocket. Hated it. This on the other hand is bloody hard work at times, but when you finish a day with 150 quid in ya pocket and your knackered, still got to go out tomorrow feeling, its great.

I'm looking forward to not having to leave my wife to go away etc, I understand this maybe a little slow for a bit, but the works only gonna come if I go for it and get it! But a £150 in ur back pocket after a days graft must be a bloody good feeling! Specially if you have it the next day too!! I'm so excited to start now, just feels like when I was signing up for the army do I know this must be right for me!

you know its the right job when you look forward to monday mornings. even when its bloody cold out. fair play for the career you chose. Very nearly did it myself, no comparison I know but I couldn't leave the mrs and kids behind. That was the deal breaker for me. Glad your finding something else bud.

It is hard leaving my wife for over seas. I put her thought enough going away on tour, so I sorta owe it to her and only do many times I can be lucky coming bk without a scratch, but I count my luck stars everyday I wake up.

But yeah can't wait to get in the van of a morning to my round for that day(I know not straight away as I gotta build the round, but one can dream lol!

Cheers H!!! One away I see it really is I gotta make a living, cos I need to pay bills, but first of all I know I need to get the round & work which I'm sure I can do!

Yep been there done that. I was cleaning a house a couple of days ago with two lads doing the one next door. They never spoke or made eye contact. They had a brand new van, new A frame ladders. I regularly work with other windies in the same road. Very few seem to be around for long.

Your like me mate u got no choice but to work n work once i start u cant stop i bet u cant wait cos i cudnt lol

I can't wait mate! I just wanna get going, I wanna order all the kit and fit it, still got fair bit to learn tho yet. Im like a kid at Xmas looking thought the sites at kit lol.

I'm not gonna be putting that much in, but I would imagine its easy done lol. Now I wanna build more on to it with pressure washer gutter Hoover I'm gonna commit to roughly £3000 that's not including Van or insurance.

At this rate you'll be employing half the lads on here in a years time lol. Never been in the position to invest that much... One day /emoticons/biggrin.png

I do count myself as lucky, but it's what I get after 10years payout from the army, so but of it towards deposit of the house and the rest for the business. But still got a hell of a lot to learn!!!

Lol no not me mate, I'm about 45mins -55mins away from stains lol. And I ain't started yet lol

Apologies mate sorry lol. Might have been, he didn't say much about Stains in all honesty, but u never know?
