I have seen a few window cleaners, do this before, and decided to make use of it today. Basically, I left one on the lads on a street, where there was a load of jobs, with a set of ladders, bucket and backpack, with cloths in it. I quite like this idea, and it does work quite well. Now I am thinking, if its something I will make use of, what else other than cloths could be handy to have in there.

So who does it, and what do you have in your backpacks?

I take one when I do a few around where I live, just a bottle of water and some dry microfibres, flask lol not much else.

Yeah same.

I got my bussiness name on the back of my top thought this was great.

But turns out that cause I carry a bakpack(well more of a stringged sports bag) no one can see it!

I carry all my spare scrims, microfibres and towls in there.

And occasionly my lunch, and if I think it will rain, my coat.

why do you need a backpack?lol mop and blade in your boab, bucket and ladders in your hands and your cloths over your shoulder or on your belt?

I walk my round so always have a backpack on me, usually carry ladder mitts, ladder matts, cloths, scraper blades, rubbers. Basically stuff you're going to need!

I carry cloths in my window cleaning pouch, and towls on my belt, but soon run out!

So carry extra cloths and towls in my back pack.

i use 1 scrim and 1 microfibre a day, scraper can go in your pocket and you dont change rubbers that often either, lol

I like to keep the scrims dry, as I have found that wet/damp scrims, will leave a mark around the edges. So I constantly change them over. One pouch for wet scrims, and one for dry. I don't know how many I use, but I have two totes full of scrims for the three of us. I don't use the full yard of scrim though, I buy them like that, then cut them into quarters, and then re-hem them.

Hence the reason I got a backpack for scrims. Just means they can then work away on there own, for a good few hours. Which lets me go and do another area, pick up odd ones etc.

two scrims used, 1 damp one for cleaning the second one is squeeed till its dead, then use this to buff off. not on very large windows mind. wears skin out on hand when ringing out scrims.

The window cleaner in our road carries his gear in a carrier bag (ewww). No boab or owt. Looks very trampy.
Theres lads like that round ere, best one I seen was a wee old style fiesta with a wooden roof rack on it. Made my day lol. He had no scrim/cloth or BOAB. Just a bucket of soap and water

And get this, I see 2 geezers who use no fookin water!! One uses a pole with a damp scrim and the other one uses just a damp scrim. Not a mop and blade in sight!
