The last couple of weeks I've been getting tiny little bits left on the windows after rinsing. They look like air bubbles but they're staying there.

The weird thing is if I rinse and stand there and watch there doesn't appear to be anything, then as the last of the water sheets off they start appearing, so I'll rinse again and they're back.

Is this just dust particles etc from in the air?

I don't have a pump strainer by the way but have ordered one now just incase

Do you have an RO DI system to produce pure water in your van?

If yes when you refill your DI resin are you ensuring you are not overfilling it.

Have you recently drained down and cleaned your tank. Grit, resin and oils may of contaminated it.

No having an inline pump strainer is politely foolish as it stops all debris passing through the pump and will be £7 compared to a £98+vat replacement shurflo pump

But why would the glass be free from debree then as it dries it appears?

I didn't have a strainer before as the feed was going into the top of the tank but I've spontaneously changed over to a gravity feeding system out of the bottom to combat air locks so didn't have a strainer and forgot, I have one on order

The dirt is so small when it’s wet you don’t see it then as it dries it shows up , the only other thing it could be is dirt on the windows or frames and it needs more rinsing . What flow rate are you using ?

Cheers, it's definitely not from the window as I can rinse and rinse and rinse and it still appears when it dries off. Pump strainer is on order just didn't know if it could be dust etc in the air

Unless the glass has oils on it or another form of contamination.

My best advice is to fully clean your system

Then treat all the windows on the affected property as a first clean. Use some TFR or washing up liquid in a backpack and spray down all the glass and frames then proceed to rinse down with pure water.

That should give you a base line control to isolate any contamination issues

Pump strainer fitted, ran it for a bit but still having issues so im now draining the tank and will give it a blast with the hose later then re fill and report back

With your tank, throw a full bottle of tesco basic bleach into it and brush it around the tank and flush it out completely then clean your reel hose and pole hoses

The best way to start A fresh
