I'm inclined to agree with @Kleenwell.

My first check would be the battery. When its on charge, what voltage are you getting across the battery posts?  My charger charges at 13.8/13.9 volts.

What battery is it?

As has been suggested, by pass the controller and see what happens. Can you temporarily wire your setup to your van battery and see if you have the same issues?
I had it on charge last night and was reading 13.0v from the controller. I've had it on charge all night, and now reads 12.4v off charge on the controller, but on a new multi meter reads 13.20v

Its an Albion 110 Leisure Battery purchased from my local marina shop

Any thoughts?

My thoughts are the controller, when mine started playing the voltage readings via the controller were erratic on one occasion the reading was going up and down as I had the pump running and had bat flashing on controller.

Cheers Grant. I'm yet to get going this morning fart-arsing about with it. The thing is, my brand new charger is fully charing a 2 month old battery, and only performed well for a couple of hours before dribbling. Todays another day, so will see how I get on and report back.......Thanks mate, I do appreciate it.

Different voltage readings on a multimeter and a your controller throws another spanner into the mix. It could be that the reason for the stated voltage reading on the controller and the multimeter being different is that there is a faulty connection somewhere between the battery and the controller. Check for a faulty connection at a join, at the fuse holder and at the battery. If you are using crocodile clamps, we had no end of issues when we used those. Now we use proper battery terminals.

As @Kleenwell mentioned you also need to take a voltage reading a few hours after you have let the battery settle after charging. The general rule of thumb is 4 hours but you should get a pretty close reading after an hour.

Big thanks to each and every one of you guys for your kind help.

Unbelievable - I actually think it was a lose connection to the batter that was the culprit!! I tightened all connections anyhow, and been purrrrfect for the past 2 days.

Damn, I find it so depressing when the machine plays up, and haven't a clue what it is!!

Thanks again fellas - you are ALL diamonds. Great place to come this!
