Under van hose guide

So when I get my tank fitted at PureFreedom in 2 weeks time I am going to have the rollers in the image fitted, just wondered if anyone has got these fitted and was also wondering would it be a good idea to have two sets of under van rollers so one on each side.

Edit- I am not getting 2 reels or the fancy electric ones just sticking with my manual petal reel, for now, to see how I get on before making a quick decision on an electric reel

I roll mine in until the protector ball stops at the under roller then just put a crocodile clip on the hose level with the upper roller so it cannot slide down.

I then put the pole in the van (sliding doors both sides) and the pole hose slips between the door as it shuts, so I never have to connect/disconnect. I just grab the pole and go ?

p.s. you shouldn’t start a sentence with ‘so’ ??

Yep, just leave a small loop around the bumper. I use reel hose and pole hose. I reel the main hose, protecta ball and connection in and the pole hose just fits in the gap either between the doors, or in between the door and the bumper.
Yeah but imagine it gets wrapped around the wheel... I'm probably over thinking it. For me this is one of the improvements that is being shelved for the next few months but when I go for it I don't think i'll be able to leave the house outside the van.

I started using them they are rubbish they wear really quickly , I ended up replacing them within a year with the ones in the picture I posted earlier

Yep, you are over thinking it. One end is coming out the of the rollers at the centre of the back of the van attached to 100mtrs of hose wrapped around the reel, then looped around the bumper and in through the back doors. This is not going to get wrapped around a wheel.

Mine have been in for a few years and still going ok. One of the things I like about them is that the protecta ball passes through them no problems, so for me that’s a ?

Lost me now.... I was under the impression the hose went from the mounted hose reel through one roller in the floor and then another roller on the back of the van. By the look of the PF pictures above thats what they've done? I have a ProLoc reel, it has a tendency to be a little loose at times.

I brought my van outright but still has a years manufactures  guarantee still , left but if I drilled holes in floor and a fault developes elsewhere could they say sorry you have modified the van so invalidates the warranty .

@Lennie @steve garwood @Pjj thanks for the replies I figure once they are in I can see how I get on with them and in the future, they can easily be replaced if needed @P4dstar I thought you were smarter than me ?
You're on form this morning ain't ya. Had your Weetabix then ??

I still don't get it. I mean it doesn't look like its a likely thing to happen if the hose is through 2 rollers but its not like they pull the hose back in.

I've started to get some scratches on the door of my van from the times when I need to drag the hose round to the front.
Think you have a solution to part of your problem already buddy. Look for the R on the stick thing between your seats in the van. As for the little rat sniffing around the back sure you could sort him........

Imagine your pole is still connected to your hose and you stick it in the back of your van and close the doors. You’d have about 10” of pole hose running vertically across your bumper from the roller to the bottom of the van door.

It’s a good idea!

Maybe this picture will help you get your head round it

That’s better than disconnecting the pole every time, if I had rollers I would do exactly this rather than disconnect and pounce about threading hose through the rollers being hoseless is fast so I would do the same as you Lennie.

I have a return to tank hose as we use hot water so at the end of the job I disconnect from the pole and connect to the return to tank hose hopefully the picture below will make  sense . The yellow hose in the back of the van is the return to tank.

Yep, it works for me. Connect it up on the 1st job of the day and disconnect after the last job.

I do something similar. I have the reels fed via a t piece, one part goes to the reel and the other to a return into the tank via the valve in the picture. In between jobs to keep the heater running I open the valve and the water takes the quickest route back to the tank and circulates the heated water.

Thanks boys. What I had pictured in my head is literally what you're doing (Except the return to tank think @Pjj has. It just seems less useful if you have to trap the hose the in the door anyway. I did like the crocodile clip idea though!

@Pjj im pretty handy tbf i Just fear the worst but if its a simple job maybe il have a little explore of my options, my system is being installed by Lee at Bladeright next week so maybe il see if he offers it .

Iv just crawled under my van to have a look and i havent got the b*lls to cut holes in my van ?? gonna have to pay i think ?
