Under van hose guide

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Here you go I had mine fitted at Purefreedom and the spare wheel had to be removed permanently from underneath the van, these rollers can be bought from https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-reels/hose-reel-accessories.html the roller in the floor I would say takes most of the wear and tear these have worked really well for me since the fitting in the first week of April, I use a manual reel and these have made such a difference to my work day as there is far less resistance when pulling the hose out and reeling in which has also helped my problem back.

@Ash87 I would phone Bladeright today and ask if they can fit rollers and if you need to source them yourself just buy them from Gardiners, if they can fit them it shouldn't take that long and they will no doubt have all the tools for the job which will save you the hassle and time of fitting them yourself.

Just an observation and I may be mistaken, but it doesn’t look to me as though pure freedom have painted / protected the edge of that hole they cut. Looks open to the elements to go rusty. May be worth popping a bit of paint on.

I found this this when I had one of my systems so called “professionallyl” fitted. When you look closely you start to find things where they have taken a shortcut. It’s the simple things that quite often let them down imo.

It looks like one bolt out of the four hasn’t got any washers on??? Hope at least it has a spring washer else that will come loose with just a full nut on and not a nyloc nut. A flat and a spring washer then nyloc nut is what I would of done.

Very observant, I have washers etc in my garage so easily sorted @LennieI painted the van floor myself so Purefreedom.co.uk can't be blamed for not painting the edge of the hole cut

Thank you to both of you for your observations those 2 jobs will take 10 minutes at most over the weekend.

I don’t know, I would of thought it was just good working practice to protect the edge of a cut hole, especially on the underside of a van. Doesn’t take a lot of effort and easier to do before stuff goes together.

Im not particularly knocking pure freedom, I have some of there stuff and it seems good. From what I have seen I think most companies are the same, they fall down on the little things.

This is why everything takes me twice as long, spending too much time on the detail. ?

I get what you are saying, but the paint is protectakote and unless they crack open a new tin and use it purely for each time someone wants rollers in the van which takes hours to dry and cure and it was a cold wet day and I had over a 2hr drive back home, they have sealed around the edge with a clear sealant.
