I am curious to ask you WFP boys if you have any tips about what to avoid in the world of second hand poles on the internet.

I am shopping for a pole just to do conservatory roof scrubs so dont need huge lengths and dont need to spend £1000000 for one.

Just a good condition used pole and brush will suffice but are there any key factors that cause defects ect to be wary of?

Cheers.

yep and harris poles, as some one, I think daveyboy said are only cheap new...

ali tend to bend and wont shut open easy

carbon wear gradually and then the clamps not so good..

glass fibre...well banana is doing well so far..although it is getting a bit loose...

I think second hand is generally for a reason../emoticons/biggrin.png

to be honest green would, int buy second hand poles done it in past end ed up buying twice

buy slx 22ft and gardiner brush

for conny roofs make sure you get light brush

Most will get shot of their knackered poles on fleebay so its very rare to get a good one at a reasonable cost

My Harris been going for 2 years now.

Also bought a 2nd hand unger 30ft pole 18 months ago & still going strong.

They are out there.
