Customer needs VAT registration, advice wanted

HI there,

I have had a potential commercial customer approach me to carry out monthly work on his business premises but he said my business would have to be VAT registered. I am however under the threshold and don't wish to voluntarily register any time soon.

Has anyone else been asked this and is there a way round it as the job is a rather good one and I don't want to miss out on a job.

Just give him a decent price and it won't make any difference if your are VAT or not, unless it is in there policy somewhere only to deal with VAT reg companies, although I personally don't see what benefits it carries on provided cleaning services.
