Stick a Tennis ball on the end.....make a large hole for pole end and smaller hole for pole hose /emoticons/smile.png.

On these extension sections there is an option to add an End Cap to the section - you will need an end cap #9 for this. You can always ring up the office first thing (01726 66400) and ask them to add this to your order.

AD only do one size hose as far as I'm aware. The hose length is what you need to calculated.

Find out what the total length of your new pole will be extended and add another meter on for the trailing bit before the connector to your reel hose. If you are likely to want to go higher then maybe add a couple more meters to accommodate a number 10 section. /emoticons/smile.png

I've found john guest type push fits are an easy way to extend/put together more than one length of pole hose.

That's how I change connection from EZ-snap on hose reel to Hozelock on my trolley. My pole hose with EZ-snap connects a short piece of hose with a JG. I just unplug the JG and feed the bare pole hose into an in-line tap on the trolley.

Thanks Alex I ordered the pole with the cap [emoji106] I don't think I can buy the gardiner hose as I have an aqua dapter [emoji107]

The pole hose from AD is specifically designed to do the job. It has minimal stretch when pulled so you can activate the AD. I doubt that Gardiners would supply a hose that adheres to this criteria as Alex recommends an inline tap.

Even Steven doesn't recommend an AD at the height you want to work at. I find that my SLX40 with the orange hose works fine, although I'm aware of the hose stretching where it's less noticeable at 22' (SLX22).

I don't have any experience of the new blue hose, but I have a length of red on one of my other poles. It has less stretch than the orange and in my opinion was the best option at the time, especially if your were using hot water..

you shouldnt need the end caps if you just add extensions for specific high jobs.

The orange on my 22' is manageable but the orange on my 35' is a swine to use, probably because there is so much hose and that gives it more opportunity to wrap around itself. I might go back to 'all season' hose on the 35'.
