Univalve versions

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Can't even spell correctly and desperate approach for sales.

Running scared
Also wording about 3D printing doesn't actually apply to the off the shelve O rings or spring. Rather by a kit than wait 2 weeks for a 2nd class return univalve. They either have lots of broken ones sat around or would rather you wait

Talk about throwing something together...

They don't state if they are reconditioning yours or just a reconditioned replacement. No idea of turnaround time. No mention of what parts they are replacing. No mention of if they will provide warranty on reconditioning...

Best one of all - I can't see the address to send it to ???????

Looks like they are very angry!

I guarantee it will be a reconditioned unit not your one

It's good that if your Univalve breaks you now have the dual options of posting it back for a reconditioned one for £9.95 + £1.99 p+p, so 12 quid + whatever your postage cost there is (funny, he told me £8.95...), or alternatively buying a kit to fix it yourself.

Either way, it's much better than chucking it and spending £40 for a new one.

The interesting thing is, he doesn't specify any conditions on which he'll replace them, or time elapsed since purchase or proof of purchase, so basically if you've got an old broken Univalve that is beyond simply needing a spring or o ring then you can send them back! It's the best warranty I've ever seen!

I imagine it won't last long in that form though as I think the focus was less on service and more on stopping diy-ers tampering with their Univalves.

He started the same way as yourself with a concept and 3D printer for the evolution of a prototype so there's no difference.

Rather support yourself than buy anymore. I have over 8 univalves mounted on poles and won't be buying anymore

I think that a business that supplies a technical product such as the Univalve should also sell service kits for it, by not doing so they left the door open for somebody else, no doubt thinking that windies will throw a broken one away and buy a new one and that will bring them more money than selling service kits.

As an end user if I don't think my Univalve has a decent life span I am very unlikely to replace it but I would service it.

Greedy thinking methinks.

Wanted to challenge your design and see the quality of what you are putting together as a package
He made some unsubstantiated claims on my YouTube video that I've since turned comments off as I would rather avoid an argument.

"Please be assured the parts are not improved. The spring will be weaker and incorrect size orings We do univalve repair service for £15 that includes a new cap that inevitably gets damaged when removed"

He may want a kit to see if his claims are true or not. Or he wants an opening tool as he damages the cap when removing them.

Why not open the comments section up and get those on here that have repaired theirs to put reviews on, fairly certain they would

Get making them by the thousands ??? bigger advert sell more ???
Tempting.. Don't think I could sell that many though!

To be honest I think it was always going to be a very limited market. Most people simply would never consider taking something apart themselves to fix it.

This is not a threat to ex-ceed! If he didn't hide his repair service on his warranty page and had advertised it on the Univalve product page, it would completely eclipse any lost sales from diy-ers.

WE STRONGLY  RECOMMEND UNI-VALVE IS NOT USED WITH CHEMICALS.

Just noticed this gem on his website. So the parts in the kit which are all chemical resistant are inferior?

I've actually researched the active ingredients in a variety of degreasers and common cleaning fluids windys use and specifically checked whether the new parts are suitable.

So they aren't the same as his true, it can be viewed as a modification.
