Diesel heaters drilling a hole in van floor for exhaust pipi will put a lot off . If it helps thats a good investment. Someone mentioned they can be remote controlled while your sat in the house to come on

Invest in your business, spend some money and get a hot water system whether its a simple immersion heater or a diesel heater installation and it'll make working in cold weather much more comfortable...

So many window cleaners I know are always moaning about this, that and the other and are working with crappy equipment and cold water....I feel sorry for them....?
People working with hot water are just soft ars-es

How's dragging 100m of hose (that's like wire) around at this time of year?? and having to wear cumbersome gloves?

Rather you than me.its horrible using cold water in this weather.a miserable experience!?

I knew Manchester was a grim place, seemingly more grim than I thought
you mean lancashire as a whole?i'm in yorkshire and we do have "that thing" between both counties, ok, i admit i use hot water as and when needed ie lots of dirty frames and glass and if the job is more than an hour then maybe i'll put the hot on to make it easier, i do agree with daz though, handling hose thats like wire is not the best thing to put up with everyday when its cold, it just makes the day more hard work when you could make it easier for yourself, i look at having hot water more of an extra tool to be used as and when, its not ooohhh your posh or lar de dar, its just something that makes your working easier and yes, you could get more done than using cold at this time of year, we just have to work with the climate on that given day and adapt with what mother nature gives us.

No not Lancashire as a whole I like Lancashire nice place to visit and had the odd holiday there, my comment was just me pulling his leg.

I agree with you with what you've said about hot water, well actually just even warm water of around 20c I was using an aquarium heater during the cold spells and even water of that temperature made the hose more manageable which is a bit nicer some days.

I think we have had a polite winter so far, moved my customers twice because my lines got frozen OOPs.. I have been eyeing up those hot boxes but can not justify spending £3,000 plus just for hot water & to me at least an immersion heater seems like a desperate move that would not do as well as the hotbox. seems like a money scam to me... I will however be getting a camper shower and gas bottle as it's cheaper and seems more realistic to run hot water... yes i will still need to take my hose reel inside overnight and drain the shower unit, but i'd rather do that than waste thousands on a hotbox that is not worth more than £1000, hell i may even attempt to make my own hotbox at this rate, either way Don't shoot, i am just a window cleaner/gutter cleaner ;)

Agreed!

I meant the nice parts of Lancashire like the Forest of Bowland, not Burnley :ROFLMAO:

Well I was actually born in Burnley general hospital but lived in a little village called Trawden which is situated about 5 miles from Burnley. Moved to Dorset In 1986 when I was 9 years old. Still have family over that way and my best mate who I`m still in touch with.
Far enough away from the chaos, but it will have changed a lot since you moved
