I do find that sometimes people can be averse to change. I remember when I first started reading this forum six years ago there was a debate about 8mm minibore against 6mm microbore, which I guess was the new kid on the block, at the time. Some saying that 6mm would overstrain the pumps due to the increased resistance, and this would shorten their life. I took a chance on 6mm for the handiness of fitting it on the reel and the lighter weight. I've been using it since with no regrets. I believe most people use 6mm now.Exactly the same as squeaky clean Dave's vid.
